Homework 03:40
Well I told you two times that I don't regret our life To a better bigger time, away from the bloodied knife But the message it just isn't being heard You're reading into what I say for your words A thousand miles to reach your door Why I'm here I'm just not sure Always more to do, have I solved my crime? Gotta do my homework and get it in on time Gotta do my homework and get it in on time From the border to the bedroom I'm thinking of your way, You give a destination without hearing my say This routine goes around and never ends Perhaps the best of enemies become the best of friends Fighting for the final word For a reality that's good, we've heard If we rush along and just be kind Gotta do my homework and get it in on time Gotta do my homework and get it in on time You can speak right to my soul It's so sad to see you go Without you here, I've no control In my fragile life the cracks will show Now it's time to go home, I'm hazy as I walk I've got a bag of hope but the past it always stalks Stuck in my loop in this headless, helpless town Giving all I've got not to be around A thousand miles to reach your door Why I'm here I'm just not sure Always more to do, have I solved my crime? Gotta do my homework and get it in on time Gotta do my homework and get it in on time

Another hard day Ran straight to your arms Tried to ignore What we said to harm Since you turned away And cried your tears Where do we go from here? Gotta get a distraction To keep me away Wish it had not Been today We talk for hours Still we have our fears Where do we go from here? Where do we go from here? Oh, there's so much trouble in the world And hope ain't clear Sometimes, you've got to ask yourself Where do we go from here? Where do we go from here? Lost on a highway Ending in the dark Well-trodden trails Leave our mark The things behind us They're bigger than they appear Where do we go from here? Where do we go from here? Oh, there's so much trouble in the world And hope ain't clear Sometimes, you've got to ask yourself Where do we go from here? Where do we go from here? Oh, there's so much trouble in the world And hope ain't clear Sometimes, you've got to ask yourself Where do we go from here? Where do we go from here?

Reading your mail reminded me Of the person I used to be From a hard-time family Lucky to have a destiny I'd angrily shout my feelings Leave my own friends reeling Hell, once I was stealing The love of others to seal in My insecure emotions My bruised and confused soul I ain't excusing my devotion To being an asshole. I'd make a joke about religion But the punchline was always hidden Beneath layers forbidding A peaceful disposition I'd tell everyone about the others How we should run for cover Before they come and smother This land they're free to discover My bigoted exclamations Sure took their toll I lost friends in conversations I used to be an asshole The times they're always changing I'm always re-arranging The protests that I'm staging For the anger that is raging The key it is forgiveness And taking back control Of things once dumb and reckless I used to be an asshole I used to be an asshole I used to be an asshole.

Sharing a picture from seven years back Claiming to know that it's now Well I've been looking for trouble from my living room window Surely you're mistaken somehow? Cos all I see is sunshine melting snow on the window And a rush to the office on time That's the thing with a bigot, they can't see their own ignorance Is really the only crime Two thousand dollars for nothing Two thousand dollars, that's all To validate your own sick mind And what you're fighting for Pull the pin and throw the grenade Then amble on out of the room Standing for the alt-right, standing for justice, But really only standing for doom See the reason ain't simple, I will give you that, You've got to find the root behind the truth But there's a damn lot of difference between honesty and ignorance And a love for a racist world view Two thousand dollars for nothing Two thousand dollars, that's all To validate your own sick mind And what you're fighting for

Spirit Gone 03:53
Spirit gone The world beyond Guides my steps and helps me think About the things that I've done I see pain In your eyes You cannot see me now Even though I've sacrificed Everything That comes to pass I wish it stayed a little longer Enough to make it last. Drift away A holiday Where I forget my worries Where I can start again Need to run Chase the sun Still coming back for answers Still starting at square one Windows clear View obscured Your story's been rewritten Like it's always been a curse Spinning round Never settle down Fade into the crowd My outside ain't my inside now My outside ain't my inside now I'm the change I'll re-arrange A thousand second chances Into something new that matters [repeat to end]

Black Hole 03:22
Well you've got that distant gaze, You're a mind maze, You've got a simple aim in life but no plan In the summer haze, You dream of ways, To ignore your ever-dwindling lifespan And the evening sun It's rays have just begun To give a red hue through your magerita You are not someone For threads to come undone To let a broken heart defeat ya BRIDGE Bells chime The city crime Stays by the red light You're out of time I'm out of rhyme Neither's a delight So take my hand Find a land Whose language We don't understand Take control Find your role That big black hole It won't draw us in tonight Take the chilled wine from the fridge Walk across the bridge We'll drink it down and hear the opera roar Stirring how we feel What's false and what is real? I'm five drinks down and I don't care anymore You're fine In my decline You keep my future bright I'm out of lines We're out of wine Neither's a delight So take my hand Find a land Whose language We don't understand Take control Find your role That big black hole It won't draw us in tonight

Nepal 02:26
There's one ride I will gladly Never do again On a bus so madly Dancing through the wind And the limestone canyons Where the landslides roll The roaring river reminding Risks take their toll Took three pills and a whiskey And a beer to wash it down Perhaps my mind is misty And not the weather around the town Where we saw the wildlife We'd seen in a zoo And I just mean the tourists Now who is watching who? It's been a long while since Kathmandu Over the mountains There's a lake where I can Dip my tired feet The night sky black and blue The stars I'm counting They make me feel so small Can't wait to tell you all about Nepal Sitting with the sunrise To watch the hills light up Their red flashing colours Shining snow upon the top Here's my place of exile Should I need to flee Use up all your airmiles And trek to find me It's been a long while since Kathmandu Over the mountains There's a lake where I can Dip my tired feet The night sky black and blue The stars I'm counting They make me feel so small Can't wait to tell you all about Nepal

Why don't you come on down to the street, my friend See what is happening here Daily troubles, hard work, and I recommend You go and get your ass in gear We've got a reputation to shake and define And a darkness to overcome And a man who is treading a real fine line Between autocracy and fascism These streets, will have My heart These streets, the end and start. Living in the suburbs of a suburb of Sweden To those whom live on their throne We're defined by shooting, and football, and looting Told it's unsafe in our homes. Yeah, the problems bubble up every once in a while I hate the gangs as much as you But there's a lot of shit here to make us smile And call out what is simply not true These streets, will have My heart These streets, the end and start. You've got to make the change you want in your neighbourhood Solve all the problems there We'll all stand together, stay strong through the weather Against those who just don't care Keep up the working, keep up the playing Go on and pray if you must For there ain't an idea that can hold enough water That can turn an idea to dust These streets, will have My heart These streets, the end and start.

Last Song 07:24
LAST SONG Feels like I'm swallowed by a tidal wave Regrets echo in my endless cave There is nothing that I can do to forget you But you're fading as I look behind Can't see the lies that you told to blind Me from my journey to find something new and true My battles, I have won This is the last song I will give to you The last song I will give to you Hate, I've overcome This is the last song I will give to you The last song I will give to you Tonight Do you have something you want to say? I tried to reach you in every way To find an opportunity to put it out there All the pain that we had to hide All the times that we saw hope die Gave a life of nothing more than despair My battles, I have won This is the last song I will give to you The last song I will give to you Hate, I've overcome This is the last song I will give to you The last song I will give to you Tonight

about

An 100% home-produced, 10-song album (12 songs if you get the bonus tracks!), offering ballads, straightforward rock, some acoustic gems, and a protest song or two.

Recorded via Focusrite hardware and Ableton software, using the first guitar I ever received (Squier Fender), a Epiphone Dot 335, a Yamaha digital piano, RODE microphones, and the mousepad of my laptop. Perhaps now I can invest in a MIDI controller - playing drums on a laptop is tough.
